WEIGHT LOSS HOLIDAYS
Weight loss holidays in the Dordogne in South West France.
The idea behind our weight loss holidays is not just to help you lose weight during your stay but to ensure you continue to lose weight once you have gone home and so ensure you reach and maintain your target weight.
We do this by a combination of dietary and exercise education, participation and motivation. Children and adults are taught how to plan, prepare, cook and eat a healthy diet. If you have ever wondered how the French can enjoy their food, eat so much, yet still remain the thinnest nation in Europe, you will learn here.
We work on your self esteem and help you to establish self control. You will feel physically and mentally better and be able to envisage the new you long before you achieve your desired target weight.
This is not a boot camp. We do not like the idea of calling our weight loss holidays fat camps and we do not treat our guests as if they are in the army. We do however maintain strict routines and safety guidelines to ensure everyone enjoys their stay and leave motivated, feeling you have accomplished something and determined to continue and maintain your new lifestyle.
Exercise is encouraged but we do not make people go on forced marches like many weight loss organisations. Exercise should be something that is enjoyed and looked forward to, not something that you dread. We therefore concentrate on exercise routines that are enjoyable – walking our dogs through the French countryside, lake swimming and canoeing for example.
