Interested in wine? Why not join us for the first week in October on our wine appreciation week? £325 p.p. All Inclusive. Whats included? - Well, for an hour one morning you will join in our 'vendange' or harvesting of our own grapes. Then, see the whole process over the course of the week of what happens 'from the vine to the cuve'. - Visits to local producers. There are many local producers in the area ranging from small (like us) to large (125 acres) or 400,000 bottles! - Barrel making. No, you will not need to bring your hammer and saw, but we will be visiting a Tonnelier and see how its done. - Evenings will be spent enjoying the local wines (and of course local the cuisine) and you will have the opportunity to chat to the local Wine Makers about their specialised methods of production and ask those questions you've always wanted to ask! - Fragrances. There are lots of different smells associated with wine, from subtle mushroom to Cat's p---! So, one evening, after dinner, we will have a bit of friendly competition and test your noses! Finally, of course, just because this is 'Wine week' it does not mean that you cannot take advantage of our usual programme of activities, e.g. Clay Pigeon Shooting, hitting a Golf ball down the practice range, playing Tennis or Badminton, or even having a swim in the pool.
